Asia are an English rock group formed in 1981. The band was labelled a supergroup and included former members of veteran progressive rock bands Yes, King Crimson, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Uriah Heep, U.K., Roxy Music, Wishbone Ash and The Buggles.

Alpha
Alpha is Asia's sophomore album. It focuses almost entirely on pop/pop-rock sounds and is almost void of progressive rock elements. It was recorded at Le Studio, Morin Heights, Canada in the spring of 1983.
